A। List of Tasks, which will help complete your thesis successfully, is given below। You need to perform these tasks regularly। 1। Prepare a time schedule for the completion of the thesis। 2। Have a research notebook to record your research schedule, plans, activities, data etc। 3। Do some research work/write some pages every day; work long hours if possible। 4। Read the relevant literature carefully and comprehensively, read every day, memorize a textbook in your thesis area। 5। Read some books on how to get a doctorate and how to undertake research independently to learn research skills। 6। Let your supervisor know your progress regularly (even by email or phone)। 7। Improve your writing and English skills (revise writing skill and English books regularly

। 9। Set and keep in mind your thesis completion date। 10। Talk to your colleagues, lecturers and experts in the field about your thesis। 11। Improve your personal skills (time management, relationships, memory, etc।)। 12। Learn research methods (both qualitative and quantitative research methods)।

Requirements of a Successful Thesis
1। Showing the competency in undertaking research independently. 2. Producing a scholarly document, at the highest academic level, of substantial (but not too long) size, containing materials of relevant knowledge. 3. Making original contributions to knowledge - advancement in the state of the art, theory, concepts or knowledge of the issues. 4. Writing technically by using concepts, theories and methods used by experts in the field. 5. Undertaking a study of substantial complexity and rigor. 6. Making contributions (at least some) at the intellectual/conceptual/theoretical, rather than empirical, level. 7. Other points to remember for completing good thesis: · Good communication of the nature of the inquiry and research findings · Generation and substantiation of an original idea, argument, or a thesis. · Quality and validity of thoughts, arguments, or hypothesis. · Clarity and precision of reasoned arguments, presentation and writing. · Good formulation and design of the research problem/project. · Inventiveness in respect of the research issue: problems and solutions. · Good writing: good presentation, organization, formatting, style, etc. · Good quality production of the thesis - no typing mistakes, good quality physical production, well bound, etc. · Carefulness in the research work. · Demonstration of an understanding of the subject (comprehensive knowledge of the subject/topic). · Coherence, unity, and development of argument. · Aim at publishing parts of thesis/research project.

C। How to write a good thesis

1। Qualities of a Good Thesis
1. Originality (something new) in the concept, theory, approach, findings etc. in the literature. 2. Technically sophisticated methodology, analytical approach, and rigorousness. 3. Good quality of writing, good English, good production. 4. Up to date and comprehensive review of the literature on the topic (refer to recent journal articles and books). 5. Contributions to the literature in the topic/issue area (something new, or extensions, modifications, improvements in theory, concept, methodology, findings, analysis etc.). 6. Focused on a particular issue/point/controversy/method – show that focus in abstract, introduction, and conclusions. 7. Relate this issue to a contemporary issue/controversy in the recent literature, journal and books. 8. In depth, specific (not general/superfluous), comparative (with other recent findings) and sophisticated analyses of issues, methods and results using technical words in the area. 9. Investigation of related articles and scholarly academic journals.
2. General Structure of a thesis

1. Abstract (summary of sections 2 to 7 below; in present tense) 2. Introduction a. The issues and importance of the issues. b. Existing work/studies, which address these issues. c. Limitations of the existing studies/literature – the need for further work. d. Objectives of the present thesis – what will be done and how (methodology). e. Contributions/originality/innovation of the thesis (in theory, concepts, approach, methodology, findings etc.) f. Structure of the thesis. 3. Literature Review a. Expansion (analytical/rigorous) of sections 2(a) to 2(c) (comprehensive and up to date) b. Is there a need for this thesis? Why? 4. Methodology a. Methods, models, data sources, data used, computer programs, etc. 5. Results, analysis of results (analytical/rigorous) and their implications a. Results and implications for section 2(a) to 2(c) and Section 3. 6. Comparisons with other studies/theories (comprehensive and up to date) a. Generalisation of the present findings – formulate theory and hypothesis – illustrate in detail. 7. Conclusions a. What are the findings/implications for theory, concepts, and issues? b.
